Use JWoWUpdater found at code.google.com/p/jwowupdater. It's a Java program designed like WoWAceUpdater

I have been a user (and lover) of wowaceupdater, I found it simple and intuitive and as a UI, pleasant and easy to use. Now that has gone I installed the Curse client and have to say my initial impressions are that is is a poor product. I would strongly suggest the developers look at the old updater product in terms of UI, tooltips and addon update features. The new client, for me, would not find addons to start. Addon list is messy. Not showing updates or versions (wowace version had columns and tooltip on mouseover) I am also concerned that addons will not be updated unless you have a premium account. Looks like I may have to seriously reduce my addon list to be able to do this manually if the client does not drastically improve. :(

I tried to install quest helper for what it does not show up or is ther a trick to make it work?

They will have to improve the quality of the addon repositories. Did an update using CurseClient and ended up loads of broken addons - reverted back to WowAceUpdater's versions and all was good again.

Ultimately, they want all the end-users to use the Curse Client to download new addons and to get updates for them. WowAce and CurseForge are for the addon authors only now. All the addons created @ WowAce/CurseForge will be pushed to Curse.com where your CurseClient will be able to download them.

I am having the same problem, need to reinstall the client or something. ??
